Just a thought - Word of mouth.

Although, the bueaty of being indie can be frustrating the results can taste a tad bit sweeter. The idea of controlling your own project the whole way through shows the strength of the artist, creating you own buzz & investing in yourself adds truth to your perception. -

Oppose to having a budget, a label backing you, videos, marketing, promo, production with great songs etc... to end up owing the label forever, being dropped & Blackballed, Risking your future projects never seeing the light of day, Along with the fate of your career in other people hands can take way more life out of you.

What's helped drake has not just been his style of music but the co-signing by other "Successful" Artist has made him that much attractable to the big wigs/spenders. Word of mouth is still the most powerful tool yet the most slept on & when you add strength in numbers, Consistent quality music & visuals, then you have a movement.
